You know we just love it when we see how people use the things they buy here at Antique Plaza. Local photographer Stephanie Harmon of Step on me photography recently bought some things from the plaza to use as props in her newborn photography sessions and was kind enough to share some of the photos she took. I do not have kids yet but these photos still give me some inspiration for the creativity that went into these shots.
{The green and white striped blanket was bought at the plaza.}
Isn’t this babe the sweetest sleeper? He looks so happy yet pondering. I especially liked how Stephanie draped the blanket up in the background to give the subtle pattern and frame the shot. She’s a pro!
{This blanket is from Roses and Ruffles, but has such a great vintage feel.}
This shot just screams femininity, I have such a soft spot for anything sculpted out of fabric and this blanket is such a great textured back drop, good choice!
{Box from antique plaza}
Dying over this photo, vintage wood box and a litttle boy in a bowtie?! Absolutely! I thought this has such a great old-timey feel. Not sure where the bowtie is from but we do have a few in the store in case you are looking!
This rustic bowl and fur blanket look really cozy for this little guy.
Another shot from that session, this photo just looks classic enough to be from any time period, I love that.
Thanks to Steph for showing us how she uses antiques and props to really enhance the cuteness of her newborns. If you have any photos of how you have incorporated antiques into your life your work please let us know! We’d love to see them!
