‘Just Arrived on the Mayflower’ Thanksgiving Tablescape

Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is here, and it sailed in faster than the Mayflower! Thanksgiving is the ultimate time to have a bountiful harvest set on a table overflowing with gathered grains, vegetables and of course some wild turkey.

So, here’s my table, set up just like the first Thanksgiving between the pilgrims and Indians in 1620!

A handmade quilt in fall colors is spread out under a table stacked with a large woven basket display.

Sprinkled with items gifted from both the Indians and Pilgrims, the table features adorable salt and pepper shakers, corn molds, crocheted textiles, jars of nuts and cartography pieces.

Guests can dine on state plates, a nod toward the beginning to our American roots.

Gobble Gobble!

I couldn’t think of a better table to sit down at and break bread with family, friends and new acquaintances.
