Thanksgiving is tomorrow! And we wanted to share with you, two renditions of how the plaza sets up a table for Thanksgiving. First Up…
Using everything from the Plaza (as always) I got an assortment of objects mainly from the 50′s and 60′s to come up with this retro thanksgiving table. The color palate was inspired by this modern block print tablecloth. To accent the bright colors I used varying black and white tablecloths.
For the middle plates I used Vintage Dansk plates, the square details on the rim seemed to match perfectly with the tablecloth
To Jazz up plain white napkins I used simple vintage jewelry pieces as napkin rings
Nothing says retro like brass accents and the shiny brass really tied in all the shapes and colors. From the coffee carafe shown above, to the accents in the wooden candleholder to these modern fitted salt and pepper shakers
There are always lots of hot serving dishes for Thanksgiving so trivets are a must and these tiled trivets were the perfect addition. And these cute sugar dishes are also great for all the other sauces you need to accompany dinner.
No setup is complete without lighting, and this Arch lamp with all its brassy goodness was just the thing to accent our modern table.
At the ends of the table, I tied in the geometric black checkers with these classic Herman Miller chairs
At the ends of the table I switched it up with white pyrex plates and small blue handled dishes, (since these plates don’t have the high rims like the Dansk plates, I figured they needed a place to hold that gravy in!)
And these small tumblers had the brass accents and the harvest leaves that seemed to perfectly say Thanksgiving
Well that is my thanksgiving table, stay tuned for one more and as you can see these tables are setup right in the middle of the basement. So when you are shopping this weekend come and see them and score some deals in our weekend black friday sale!

Diane Davis – Awww, I saw those in a mazigane last year and totally intended to make them for Easter this year! So cute, and I happen to think Peeps are yummy! Easter was a little different this year and we didn’t do dessert (which is just wrong), but next year, it’s on!
